C is for Clownfish
So my clown fish looks pretty good, but I had it well underway yesterday when my computer crashed and I lost it. I couldn't find ANY part of it. So with a heavy sigh I began again late last night and viola! I like this one better anyway. So now I am a day behind and I have to do two fish to catch up.

A is for Angelfish
So I went back to the east coast for a few weeks, and while I was there I began talking to my husband's cousin who is the owner and operator of a pre-k school. We talked of the lack of beautiful, and educational books on the market. Simple books without dumbing down preschoolers. So we decided to see if we could bring our vision to life. This is the first picture I did for the first book on Tropical fish by Alphabet. I am excited to start the next one now.

Goblins need love too.
Goblins need love too. I was experimenting with watercolor pencils. I love them. They are so easy to use and manipulate. I used an aqua-pen to blend the colors, or a dampened q-tip if I didn't need much water. I had a lot of fun playing and learning how to use them. I will definitely be using them more! My daughter thinks he is creepy, but hey...Goblins need love too!

The girls of Hippie Elf Hollow
Hippie Elf Hollow, where all the cool elves hang out. Really they are a bunch of talented, eccentric misfits. A groups of elves that all have their endearing faults, annoying little habits, and less than perfect figures, but they are lovely and loved, none-the-less, in their little home of Hippie Elf Hollow. A place where you can be exactly who you are, and be accepted. (Now on to the coloring!)

Just a little something I made for the New Year

Just Roll With It-2011 |
So I was thinking what I could send my friends and family (all on the east coast) this Holiday season. It always seems that regardless of how much money I have or do not have, each year my favorite part is when I make something to give to everyone. I have always loved to give and receive handmade gifts, I guess that is just the artistic/creative spirit in me. This year I got to thinking of something I could also make that could also be downloaded to give away to my friends online as well. This is the product of that thought. The idea of a one page calendar is certainly not original, but it is the very first one I have ever done and it was a lot of fun. The title is a bit of advice that my father in law had told my husband once when he was having an extremely stressful moment in his life, and advice that we both adhere to even today. Sometimes we just have to "Roll with it".
